Share your Earth Day moments
WASHINGTON — Earth Day only happens once a year, but a new contest will help illustrate what the so-called global moment looks like, according to a press release.
The first step is to join the photo sharing site Flickr, and then think about what view of Earth Day you want to share, the release stated.
According to the release, you don''t need to be a professional photographer to share your captured view of Earth Day as the best variety of images taken on April 22, will be gathered to create a map of the moment.
Any photo taken at any point during the day of April 22 is eligible to be uploaded to a Flickr account and shared with the State of the Environment group, the release noted.
The photos can be uploaded until midnight Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on April 28, with one photo per Flickr member being accepted, the release added.
