January 20, 2011
QUEENSBURY, NY — The Queensbury Union Free School District has agreed to a new three-year contract with the bargaining group representing custodial supervisors, according to the Post Star.
The group, which consists of four employees, has changed medical plans, which lowers the annual net increase to 2.16 percent, the article noted.
The raises will cost approximately $5,000 a year, but after the savings from health benefits, the contract will cost the district an extra $11,800 over three years, the article stated.
According to the article, the board approved the contract at its January 10 meeting: The contract is from July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2013.
The group will contribute 12 percent toward its health benefits starting in the second year, which is up from 11 percent, the article added.
