School reopens after extensive mold remediation

According to the story, the school was closed in June after staff and students complained of illnesses and concerns were raised over the indoor air quality of the building.
Inspectors from both the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and Turner Building Science and Design found mold and dampness and provided the school with a number of recommendations to remedy the problem, the story stated.
During the school''s closure, classes were split up and held at four different locations, and the staff is happy to be back under one roof, the story noted.
Superintendent Maurice Green said: "The staff made it work and did a tremendous job, but it''s great to have the staff and students back in the building."
None of the organizations that inspected the school were able to definitively link the presence of mold to any of the reported illnesses, the story added.
