Risinger and Rathey appointed to stakeholder committee
WESTERVILLE, OH — Beth Risinger, executive director of IEHA and Allen Rathey, president of the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI), have been selected to serve on the ISSA Clean Standard: K-12 Stakeholder Committee, according to a press release.
The Clean Standard for K-12 schools — the first science-based cleaning standard — will promote clean and healthy indoor environments in educational facilities across the nation to the benefit of children''s learning experiences, the release stated.
"It is a privilege to serve on this committee of such noteworthy individuals and organizations dedicated to helping make schools cleaner and healthier. We are excited to see this ground-breaking Clean Standard reaching the final stages of development, and are honored to be reviewing it and providing input," said Beth Risinger.
"The K-12 Clean Standard is one of the most important developments in our industry to come along in many years, and it is a privilege to be asked to be involved and to comment on its final development," said Allen Rathey.
According to the release, the stakeholder committee provides an added layer of review to ensure the standard is actionable and easily implemented by cleaning service providers and that it achieves the goal of cleaner and healthier educational facilities.
