April 6, 2011

COLOMBIA, MD — The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) has announced a number of changes regarding its Certified Restorer (CR) certification, according to a press release.

With the retirement this year of lead instructor Martin L. King, the RIA has selected three instructors to teach the CR program: Reed Dow, principle of Reed Dow & Associates; Norris Gearhart, senior consultant with Rolyn Companies Inc.; and Ken Larsen, business development director for Disaster Kleenup International Inc. (DKI), the release stated.

The new instructors are working with RIA''s Director of Training and Education Cynthia Hereth to enhance the overall certification program experience for the 2011 candidates, the release noted.

"RIA is extremely pleased to have such knowledgeable instructors with so much collective experience. Martin King has given this program an excellent foundation, and these instructors are committed to retooling and improving the overall certification program," said Hereth.

"The quality of instruction will be phenomenal, and we are anticipating a record number of CR candidates this year," Hereth added.
