Restoration Journeys event a success

March 2, 2010
SAN JUAN, PR — There were more than 70 attendees at the Restoration Journeys event that took place last week in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the El San Juan Hotel and Casino, according to a press release.
According to the release, the event allowed participants the opportunity to network, be educated by top presenters in the restoration industry and enjoy some of the natural attractions of the island.
Larry Cooper of Meeting and Events LLC said "This Journey was one of the most successful meetings and events we have held. The instructors were very good, the level of education was outstanding, the attendees were engaged and had a great time and had lots of networking time and we all became one team. I have done many Journeys and will hold many more in the future — but this one event raised the bar!"
Presentations at the event included "Dealing with the Second Loss — The Emotional Loss" by Barry Costa; "File Management and Documentation Setup on Restoration Jobs and Site Inspections" by Larry Cooper, which followed the IICRC S500 and S520 Standards Administration Chapters; "Preliminary Determinations" and "Monitoring and Data in the 21st Century" by Ph.D. candidate Daniel Bernazzani; and programs on the insurance industry and restoration industry trends as well as "The Restoration Dream" by Stephanie Beattie, the release stated.
In addition, Tryna Cooper led a rooftop presentation of "Mind, Body and Soul" every morning of the event, the release noted.
The final session was an open discussion led by Barry Costa that featured questions from the diverse group that included people from all over North America and Puerto Rico sharing their knowledge and experiences, the release added.
