Restaurant cleanup finally underway
NEW YORK — Cleaning crews began cleaning a Brooklyn Popeye''s restaurant after it was shut down, according to the New York Daily News.
While the smell of garbage still lingered in the air and dead flies still littered the floor, cleaners said the Popeye''s would be clean by the end of the day Monday, the article stated.
According to the article, cleanup crews from Great Green Cleaning donned white protective suits and began bagging up trash inside the fast-food restaurant on Sunday.
The eatery still smelled yesterday and neighbors couldn''t wait for the cleanup to be done, the article noted.
"I mean, it smells terrible. I come here to get food sometimes, but this is bad. There are still flies in the windows," said patron C.J. Yardon.
