Two years ago, PortionPac won the Illinois Pollution Control Award; this year they received additional recognition for "Continuous Improvement," the release stated.
Some of the factors contributing to the sustainable success of PortionPac include switching to fleet vehicles with Blue Tec Clean Diesel Technology, adding hybrid vehicles to their fleet and extending their shared savings program to thousands of schools, hotels hospitals, etc., to help them use the correct amount of detergents and chemicals to help eliminate wasted labor and materials, the release noted.
PortionPac was one of only 25 companies in the state to be recognized for the award, the release added.
