Political unrest causes P&G plant closure

WASHINGTON — JanSan manufacturer Proctor & Gamble has closed their plants and offices in Egypt because of the ongoing turmoil, according to the Associated Press.
The company closed general offices in Cairo last Wednesday, telling employees to work from home, then closed the plants just outside Cairo on Friday, the article stated.
The global maker of the P&G Pro line for cleaning professionals has nearly 1,500 employees in the country, the article noted.
According to the article, all employees were reported to be safe and there had been no property damage reported to P&G facilities.
