O,R&L Facility Services wins TOBY Award

CT — O,R&L Facility Services is the proud recipient of this year''s of the Year Award (TOBY) from the New York Capital Region''s Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), according to a press release. Office Building
O,R&L won the award for excellence in building management services at the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) headquarters, the release stated.
According to the release, this is O,R&L''s second consecutive TOBY Award earned for buildings in the Capital Region of New York State.
The O,R&L facility management team is responsible for maintaining the 386,000-square-foot building that houses the Office of the Commissioner of the DOT, the State Transportation Incident Command Center (STICC), the main data center for the DOT and over 1,500 employees, the release noted.

In just the first year of management of the building, O,R&L Facility Services achieved a savings of $300,000 in annual operating costs thanks to green cleaning practices and other cost saving measures, the release added.
