U.S. Products hires international marketer
U.S. Products, a manufacturer of hot-water carpet extraction, floor care and restoration equipment based in Coeur d’Alene, ID, has hired Soren Christensen as general manager of sales and marketing for Europe and Asia Pacific.

Christensen comes to U.S. Products from Nilfisk-Advance, where he was general manager of product marketing for five years.

Christensen will be based in Denmark.

G-P promotes two to EVP
JanSan manufacturer Georgia-Pacific has promoted two executives to executive vice president.

Kathleen A. Walters was promoted from group president, U.S. retail tissue and international consumer products, to executive vice president, global consumer products.

Christian Fischer was promoted from group president, packaging, to executive vice president, packaging.

SouthEast LINK adds equipment specialist
Atlanta-based JanSan distributor SouthEast LINK Inc. has hired Susan Carr as an equipment specialist.

Carr is a business school graduate who comes to SouthEast LINK from working as a sales manager for a contract cleaning company.

Spartan hires Vegas manager
JanSan manufacturer Spartan Chemical Company Inc. of Maumee, OH, has appointed Brandon Ciptak as regional manager of the Las Vegas region.

Ciptak, a graduate of Northern Arizona University, comes to Spartan from the professional motocross ATV tour, where he raced successfully for seven years.

UNICCO hires Crincoli
Nationwide building service contractor UNICCO Service Company has hired Philip Crincoli as director of business development, working out of the Bloomfield, NJ, office.

Crincoli will focus on services for pharmaceutical plants.

Crincoli comes to UNICCO from a senior management position at Premier Maintenance Inc. of Milford, CT.

Tornado names sales exec
Chicago-based JanSan manufacturer Tornado Industries has hired Mark Cuddy as Director of Sales - East.

Cuddy had been working as an independent rep for Tornado, and prior to that, for 13 years in sales for the Tennant Company.

K-C adds three marketers
JanSan and consumer products manufacturer Kimberly-Clark Corp. has hired three people for new marketing positions.

Andrew Bienknowski is the new vice president, global brands; Roger Chacko is the new vice president for global marketing knowledge and intelligence; and Clive Sirkin is the new vice president, global integrated marketing communications.

Dri-Eaz hires, promotes execs
Restoration equipment maker Dri-Eaz Products of Burlington, WA, has hired one top executive and promoted another.

Robert Sorakubo was hired to be chief financial officer and John Ormsby was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing.

Ashkin and ISSA cooperate on ‘Green Cleaning for Dummies’
Steven Ashkin and David Holly’s new book, “Green Cleaning for Dummies,” is now available through ISSA.

The book provides practical information about green cleaning for building owners and facility managers, cleaning product manufacturers, product distributors and service providers.

The book includes chapters on selecting green chemicals, green equipment, green paper and other green cleaning tools and supplies; the book also covers how to measure the impact of going green, choosing green products, communicating with clients about their new processes and implementing a green training program.

ISSA offers new certification
ISSA will sponsor a June workshop at which JanSan professionals can earn the new ISSA Certification Expert credential.

ISSA Certification Experts will be able to help cleaning organizations comply with and be certified in the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard.

The workshop, which will cost $995 ($1,595 for non-ISSA members) including the credential, will be held on June 26 at the Embassy Suites Hotel O’Hare–Rosemont in Rosemont, IL.

Castle Rock becomes Karcher Floor Care
Englewood, CO-based JanSan manufacturer Castle Rock Industries, which was acquired last year by Alfred Karcher GmbH & Co. KG of Germany, has been renamed Karcher Floor Care Inc.

Karcher Floor Care manufactures the Windsor line of floor care machines and the Prochem line of commercial cleaning products.

Karcher also announced that it has ended its agreement with Tornado Industries that gave Tornado exclusive U.S. distribution rights for certain Karcher JanSan products.

Wildwood Industries expands
Wildwood Industries, manufacturer of Triton vacuum cleaners, vacuum cleaner bags and steam cleaning machines, is planning to expand into a 1-million-square-foot building on 68 acres north of Normal, IL.

The project would be completed in two phases, and would bring 250 to 550 jobs to Normal; the facility would be used for manufacturing, distribution and storage.
