Mold problem could hinder sale of Oshkosh school property
August 27, 2010
OSHKOSH, WI — Mold has invaded the former Green Meadow Elementary School building south of Oshkosh, according to The Northwestern.
Moisture soaked through the floor of the vacant building, causing the mold breakout, said Randy Johnston, director of buildings and grounds for the Oshkosh Area School District.
The issue will most likely hinder the sale of the building, which was put on the market last fall for $285,000, the article noted.
The district must now decide whether to try selling the building as-is or spending tens of thousands of dollars to clean the mold or remodel the damaged areas, the article stated.
