Man found at school identified as a custodian
FORT HUACHUCA, AZ — A man found dead inside the Colonel Smith Middle School on Saturday has been identified as a custodian, according to The Sierra Vista Herald.
The custodian was identified by post officials as Benjamin O. Ramirez, 63, the article stated.
According to the article, as of Monday, the cause of death remained unknown, but an autopsy would be performed to determine how Ramierz died.
"Our hearts go out to the family of Benjamin Ramirez. He was a valued member of our school district family and he will be truly missed by students and staff alike," said Dr. Ronda Frueauff, superintendent of Fort Huachuca Accommodation Schools.
School counselors will be available to students on an individual basis and by request, the article noted.
