Maintenance workers suffer from acid burns
TORONTO — A workplace accident at the Molson Brewery in Toronto left two workers suffering from significant acid burns, according to CBC News.
The two men were cleaning machinery when the accident occurred, the article stated.
"While they were cleaning the machine, the machine stopped and some acid they were using was spilled on them," said Francis Leduc of the Montreal Fire Department.
According to the article, both men were taken to the hospital for treatment.
One worker is suffering from burns over 50 percent of his body, while the condition of the other worker is not known, the article noted.
Two firefighters responding to the scene also suffered minor burns when they came in contact with the acid, the article added.
