Maintenance worker killed in fall
ST. LOUIS, MO — A maintenance worker at Lumiere Place Casino was killed after falling down an elevator shaft he was working in, according to KSDK-TV.
Mark Affsprung, 49, was taken to St. Louis University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the article stated.
According to the article, Affsprung was working in a parking garage elevator shaft when he fell from his scaffolding to the ground.
While police are classifying the death as accidental, federal officials will look in to the incident and St. Louis medical examiners will give the final cause of death after performing an autopsy, the article noted.
