Kimberly-Clark Smart Car giveaway release

October 28, 2009
ROSWELL, GA – Rose Angula, an employee of Central Sanitary Supply in Modesto, California, recently took home a new 2009 Smart Car as the grand prizewinner of a Kimberly-Clark Professional contest designed to promote environmental stewardship and responsibility.
Angula was selected at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North American Trade Show in Chicago earlier this month. She received a 2009 smart fortwo passion coupe. Four other finalists each received a $100 gift card. The contest was open to registered attendees of the trade show.
“Being environmentally responsible is smart for business and smart for individuals,” said Kevin McVeigh, associate marketing director, sustainability, Kimberly-Clark Professional. “Kimberly-Clark Professional believes it is our responsibility as corporate citizens to reduce our use of natural resources. The Smart Car is an emblem of sustainability, with its fuel efficiency and use of green technologies.”
The smart fortwo is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid vehicle and the third most fuel-efficient vehicle in the United States. Its 2009 EPA estimated mpg rating is 33 city and
41 highway. The smart fortwo is also up to 95 percent recyclable and is certified as a SmartWay vehicle for its low air-pollutant and greenhouse gas scores by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Five finalists were selected at random at ISSA/INTERCLEAN on October 8. Angula was selected as the grand prize winner when the key she chose was able to open a locked box containing the key for the smart fortwo passion coupe on display in the Kimberly-Clark Professional booth at ISSA/INTERCLEAN.
