JohnsonDiversey wins Ameristar Packaging Award
June 4, 2009
According to the release, the Ameristar awards recognize achievements across six areas: Innovation; sustainability; economics; product protection; package performance; and marketing.
The water flow from a sink activates the system’s unique patented pumping system which initiates the dispensing of chemical; volumetric technology accurately dispenses detergent or sanitizer based on flow of water, the release stated.
George Parr, vice president of global marketing and business development for JohnsonDiversey, said: "The Optifill system represents a true breakthrough in the cleaning of dishes and pots and pans. No other solution on the market today provides the same level of accuracy and reliability for manual warewashing. We are honored by the Institute’s recognition of Optifill and the value it brings for kitchens everywhere."
Each compact 2.5-liter bottle is highly concentrated and generates up to 150 sink fills of usable solution, reducing packaging and transportation costs and lessening environmental impact, the release noted.
Unlike wall-mounted systems, JohnsonDiversey’s Optifill system, which is manufactured from 25 percent post-consumer recycled materials and is fully recyclable, is ready to use out of the box, without complicated installation or training instructions, the release added.
