Janitors protest layoffs in LA's Century City

LOS ANGELES — Police have arrested 13 people who were protesting in support of recently laid-off janitors in Century City, according to The Associated Press.
Los Angeles police spokesman Richard French said about 300 people rallied outside JP Morgan Chase-owned Century Plaza Thursday afternoon and 13 were arrested for allegedly blocking traffic.
The custodians and their supporters from Service Employees International Union (SEIU) United Service Workers West called on JP Morgan to rehire their cleaning staff, the article stated.
