June 2, 2009
OXFORD, MS — A guilty plea is expected in the U.S. District Court in Oxford Thursday from a janitor who stole 90 pounds of marijuana from the Greenwood Police Department, according to WXVT-TV.
John Brewer will presumably be the fifth person to plead guilty in connection to the disappearance of drugs and guns from the department stemming back to 2005, the story stated.
Brewer, who is no longer employed as the department''s janitor, originally pled not guilty to drug possesion charges; authorities expect him to change his plea, the story noted.
The drugs and guns were, according to authorities, taken from a closet in the police station and smuggled out with help from others, the story added.
