Janitor arrested for World Series ring theft

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police Department sources say they have arrested a janitor in connection with the theft of a Philadelphia Phillies 2008 World Series ring, according to WTXF-TV.
A member of the Phillies marketing department left the ring in a bathroom at the team''s offices at Citizens Bank Park on Monday, the story stated.
According to the story, when the individual came back half an hour later, the ring was gone.
Police officers reviewed video surveillance tapes and questioned employees yesterday before making an arrest, the story noted.
A news conference is scheduled for this afternoon to discuss the matter in its entirety, the story added.
