IICRC's S100 Standard open for public review

VANCOUVER, WA — The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification''s (IICRC) S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings is now available for IICRC public review, according to a press release.
According to the release, The S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings establishes minimum standards for professional on-location cleaning of installed textile floor coverings.
Reviewers, who will have 60 days to read and comment on the S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings, will be provided a copy of the Standard along with a format for comments, the release stated.
Doug Bradford, co-chair of the S100 Committee, said: "We need the cleaning and restoration industry’s involvement in reviewing the updated S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings. All comments will be considered, accepted in full, in part or not accepted with reason. We track each one, how the committee decided to use it or the reason for not using the comment. This information is then sent back to the reviewer."
The S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings was first published in 2002, the release noted.
The final IICRC S100 document is scheduled for completion by early 2010 and will be ready for printing and circulation at that time, the release added.
