Housekeeping manager honored at the 'Salute to Greatness' Awards

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — William Clarke, housekeeping manager at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, was recently honored at the 5th Annual "Salute to Greatness" Awards presentation and dinner, according to a press release
Clarke received the prestigious "Pioneer Award" for the hospitality industry at the event that took place Sunday, October 17, the release stated.
Clarke, who has served in the hospitality industry for 35 years — 27 of which have been with the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort — received the recognition for being one who not only inspires others, but has also achieved success through consistency and longevity in his career, the release noted.
According to the release, hosted by the King Foundation, the "Salute to Greatness" Awards are presented globally each year to individuals and organizations that, among other things, have demonstrated a commitment to the principles and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Clarke said: "I am proud to be part of the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort team and am elated to receive such a prestigious award from this respected organization."
As a nonprofit organization, The "Salute to Greatness" Awards International Inc. seeks to inspire, educate, stimulate and enlighten human minds to the reality that success, achievement and respect are void of color and gender, the release added.
