High school to do the automated robot
READING, PA — Governor Mifflin High School administrators have been given the okay to purchase some new floor cleaning technology, according to the Reading Eagle.
The school will purchase a robotic cleaner that, when programmed with a floor plan of the school, will sweep, scrub and mop the floors all on its own, the article stated.
According to the article, the robotic cleaner will help the custodial staff, which has been reduced in size due to budge cuts, from being stretched too thin.
The new technology will allow the remaining staff members to focus on other parts of the school, while leaving the floors up to the robot, the article noted.
