Have a sustainable holiday
December 17, 2010
BLOOMINGTON, IN — Stephen Ashkin has released his tips on making the holiday season more sustainable, according to a press release.
"The tip sheet covers everything from the packaging used to wrap holiday gifts to the types of gifts themselves," said Ashkin.
"The goal is to give as we always do, but just do it in a more environmentally responsible and sustainable way," Ashkin added.
Ashkin offered a number of sustainable tips including wrapping gifts using recycled paper and choosing a live Christmas tree that can later be recycled once the holiday decorations come down, the release stated.
"There are lots of ways to make this a more sustainable holiday season," Ashkin noted.
"And just remember, every sustainable gift we give is also a gift honoring our planet," Ashkin concluded.
