Green Bay schools receive donation
GREEN BAY, WI — Students attending Green Bay schools will have some new weapons in the fight against germs, according to WBAY-TV.
On Friday, Georgia-Pacific made a donation of more than $200,000 worth of soap and dispensers for 35 of Green Bay’s schools, the article stated.
According to the article, since handwashing is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of disease and keep kids healthy, the company wanted to do its part to help out.
"As we enter the cold and flu season, it''s very critical that we have healthy students to stay in our schools," said Green Bay Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld.
Georgia-Pacific donated enough soap to keep all of the schools stocked for at least two years, the article noted.
