SANTA ROSA VALLEY, CA — Nancy Burkhart, an entrepreneur concerned that her grandchildren were being exposed to dangerous chemicals, has developed a toxic-free paint through her company Earth Safe Finishes, according to the Ventura Country Star.
The paints, certified green by Eurofins US, are manufactured so that no volatile organic compound (VOC) gases are released and are only available online, the story stated.
According to the story, a one-gallon bucket costs $49, while the line of craft paint products runs from $4.49 to $17.99.
Burkhart said a support system of other entrepreneurial women and local business agencies has helped her with her success, the story stated.
Burkhart will also be featured in an upcoming book featuring women who have been a successful part of the green movement, the story added.
