Free cleaning for cancer patients
August 3, 2009
LEWISVILLE, TX — Thanks to The Maids Home Services and the nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason Foundation, it’s possible for women undergoing cancer treatment to receive free house-cleaning services, according to a press release.
The Maids Home Services is donating up to four monthly cleaning visits per patient as part of the national program, the story stated.
Patients must be female, undergoing cancer treatment and must provide a doctor’s note specifying the length of treatment, the story noted.
Since the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation started in the Dallas area in 2006, more than 450 cleaning services in the U.S. and Canada have agreed to donate their services to those in need, the story added.
To request service, register at www.cleaningforareason.org/cancerpatients.html or call (877) 337-3348.
