According to the story, Americans get 1.7 million HAIs a year, accounting for 99,000 deaths and a $90 billion increase in health care costs.
The
state of Georgia alone is set to receive about $844,000, with $242,000 of that money being delivered this week, the story noted.
Agencies must keep track of federal stimulus dollars and are required to report the number of jobs created or saved by that money, the story added.
