DuPont posts second-quarter profit drop of 61 percent

WILMINGTON, DE — The DuPont Company recently announced a fiscal second-quarter profit loss of 61 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Total quarterly revenue fell 24 percent to $7.09 billion, the story stated.

Profit for the quarter was $417 million, the story noted.

The company is forecasting earnings upwards of $2.10 a share for the entire fiscal year, slightly higher than analysts estimates of $1.70 a share, the story added.
