Dow Chemical donates $30,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters

MIDLAND, MI — The Dow Chemical Company recently made a $30,000 donation to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania to help expand their programs, according to the Montgomery News.

Dow awarded the grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania in a ceremony on October 13 at Dow Chemical''s Spring House site, the story stated.

The Community Partnership Initiative (CPI) program was developed by Rohm and Haas Company, which is now a wholly owned subsidy of Dow Chemical, "to positively impact the surrounding community by meeting the pressing local need of education and recreation programs for youth," the story noted.

According to the story, with the grant, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania will be able to expand current programs at Mattison Avenue Elementary School and Shady Grove Elementary School.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania is excited about the opportunity to expand its programs and impact more children with the help of Dow Chemical, the story added.
