Discussion: Sustainability — what about it?
Join our Discussion of the Week on the Cleaning & Maintenance Management Online Bulletin Board and share your thoughts with other industry professionals.
Sustainable operation seems inescapable in today''s JanSan industry. Many have already made the conscious decision to "go green" by using concentrated, green-certified chemicals, switching to ergonomically-designed tools and, among other things, utilizing microfiber cloths and mops to reduce water consumption.
But, being sustainable is about more than using products, tools and equipment that are less taxing on the built and natural environments in which we work, live and play; sustainable operation is about incorporating management best practices into our daily cleaning and maintenance operations to satisfy our goals without hindering the ability of future generations to do the same.
What is it about the broad topic of sustainability that still throws you for a loop? What sorts of articles and informational tidbits relating to sustainability would be beneficial to you?
Also, we have an upcoming, no-cost webinar focused on sustainability June 23 at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), and your comments will help drive the content to be covered. As such, we highly encourage you to opine on the Bulletin Board or by sending an e-mail to Managing Editor Aaron Baunee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
