Every facility is different and has its unique set of cleaning issues. For example, a daycare facility might have issues with chocolate milk spots and cookie crumbs being ground into carpeting after snack time that, if not properly addressed, can cause odor issues and promote mold development that can possibly sicken children.
Over time, veteran employees learn specific tricks to address each kind of “specialty problem” with their own air of finesse. But, knowing how and when to address specialty problems is a learned task, and one that cannot be taught overnight. Especially when new employees are brought in, understanding the nuances of specialty problems is crucial.
What are some of the unique problems in your facility and how are they dealt with? Are they noted during new employee orientation or are workers expected to adapt to them as they are encountered over time, developing their own timesaving tricks?
