This week''s discussion is on "Pandemic Preparedness."
Increasing national media coverage of H1N1 Influenza A (swine flu) infections have caused many building service contractors and in-house opperations to rethink the way they clean and disinfect their buildings.
The spread of infectious diseases is nothing new as norovirus, vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile (C. diff), shigella, listeria, etc. have caused calamity for cleaners over the years.
How are you increasing cleaning efforts to ensure that your building occupants do not become a health care statistic?
Please share your thoughts and any unique tips we can all use to keep our environments clean and the populace healthy.
