Despite larceny charges, custodian returns
METHUEN, MA — A school custodian who was fired last year for allegedly stealing more than $6,000 from her union is back at her old job, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
The former head custodian at the Comprehensive Grammar School, Beth Reuter, was fired in May 2011 by Superintendent Judith Scannell, the article stated.
According to the article, Reuter has been charged with 24 counts of larceny under $250 and four counts of larceny over $250.
Reuter appealed her firing to the state Civil Service Commission last fall and was awarded a junior custodian job at the Central Administration Building, the article noted.
