Department holds trainer appreciation breakfast
KNOXVILLE, TN — The University of Tennessee at Knoxville Department of University Housing Services invited several members of the department to attend an appreciation breakfast on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.
The department wanted to honor and recognize their thirteen dedicated Custodial Certification Program (CCP) trainers.
This event allowed the department to recognize those committed to the CCP.
University Housing strives to provide the custodial staff with the valuable tools and training necessary to be effective custodial employees.
In the five years that this program has been active, 101 Housing Services'' employees, past and present, including six outside of the department, have been certified utilizing the Cleaning Management Institute''s (CMI) program to train our senior custodians as certified basic and advanced technicians.
CMI is a professional society established in 1964 to provide education, training and career improvement opportunities for building cleaning and maintenance professionals.
