Custodian has no plans to retire

February 9, 2011
NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH — George Baker enjoys working so much that he plans to celebrate his 82nd birthday on Monday by going to work, according to The Times-Reporter.
Just like any other day, he will be on the job in New Towne Mall in New Philadelphia where he works as a full-time member of the mall’s housekeeping staff, the article noted.
Baker, a resident of New Philadelphia, is a familiar sight to mall-goers, as he pushes his cart of cleaning supplies from location to location around the mall, the article stated.
"I''ve worked here for eight years," Baker said.
"I clean all the windows at the entrances, cleanup spills and sometimes clean the tables in the food court. I like everything about this job and have made a lot of friends working here. I plan to keep working as long as the Lord allows," Baker added.
