Custodian allegedly pockets money and jewelry

WARREN, PA — A custodian at a Holiday Inn hotel has been charged with theft and receiving stolen property, according to the Erie Times.
Angel Phelps, who allegedly took $6,400 from a briefcase left in a room and removed a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond necklace from a guest''s duffel bag, was arrested by the city of Warren Police Department, the story stated.
Police say that Phelps gave away $1,500 and spent all but $1,700 of the remaining $4,900, the story noted.
Two other individuals have been charged with receiving stolen property for supposedly accepting $1,500 from Phelps, the story added.
