Contract cleaning revenues to reach $66.8 billion by 2013
CLEVELAND, OH — Industry research firm The Freedonia Group are forecasting that revenues for United States contract commercial and residential cleaning services will advance 4.5 percent each year to reach $66.8 billion by 2013, according to TransWorldNews.
According to the story, increases in the number of houses and businesses as well as the growing availability of affordable cleaning services are named as causes for gains in the industry, which has been resistant to short-term effects from the ongoing recession.
The growth in revenue report — along with other industry trends — is included in The Freedonia Group''s new study, Commercial & Residential Cleaning Services, the story stated.
The study also reported that nonresidential clients accounted for more than 75 percent of the market in 2008, with interior building cleaning services making the largest contribution to revenues, the story noted.
