SAN FRANCISCO — The Oakland-based
Clorox Company is offering a $5,000 reward and a year''s supply of toilet cleaning products for any tips leading to the arrest of San Francisco''s infamous toilet torcher, according to the
San Jose Mercury Times.
In an effort to make residents aware of its marketing and community service offering, Clorox plans to send out a "potty patrol" team in the city on Tuesday, the story stated.
Clorox spokesman Dan Gagen said: "You could say that it''s a crappy job, but somebody''s got to do it."
An unknown prankster has set more than two dozen portable toilets ablaze on various construction sites since November, the story noted.
The various incendiary incidents have caused an estimated $50,000 in damage, the story added.
