City flood expenses adding up
MINOT, ND — On Tuesday, Minot City Council''s Finance and Improvements Committee voted to recommend the hiring of more building inspectors to examine flood damage, according to the Minot Daily News.
The committee has supported the hiring of Houston Engineering to work on repairs needed to restore water wells damaged by the flood, the article stated.
According to the release, the city has hired ServPro to provide basement cleanup for Minot Public Library.
All the emergency flood-related projects are eligible for reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which will cover 75 percent and possibly as much as 90 percent of eligible costs, the article noted.
