CIRI release 4.12
Discount Registration Fee Deadline Extended
for CIRI Cleaning Science Symposium
The Cleaning Industry Research Institute International (CIRI) today announced it has further extended its deadline through April 15 for the discount registration fee and booking of hotel rooms for its 2011 Cleaning Science Symposium, “Green Cleaning & Science.” The event is being held at the Georgia Institute of Technology Conference Center in Atlanta, April 27-29. This CIRI symposium differs from most others in that its focus is principally on science and technology as it relates to green cleaning.
The program will focus on the science and research needed to underpin green cleaning, its efficacy, performance, green labeling, impact on health and hygiene, plus their economic and business implications. CIRI’s symposium is an interactive audience format with panel discussions and breakout sessions. Experts representing all sides of green and clean will participate. CIRI holds no preference pro, con or otherwise on green cleaning. It strives to utilize scientific rigor and inquiry to bring informed discussion and resolution to this vitally important issue.
“Cleaning industry executives shouldn’t miss this opportunity to explore the in-depth relationship between green cleaning and science,” explains Jim Harris, Sr., CIRI chairman. Adding to this, notes Dr. Steven Spivak, CIRI science advisor, “Our objective with the symposium is to summarize the critical issues between green cleaning, science and technology. This will lay the groundwork for CIRI to suggest new solutions and partner with others to develop means for achieving success in effective cleaning and measurement.”
As a special opening presentation Keynote Speaker Dr. Richard Shaughnessy will present a synopsis of the work to date on a Clean Standard for K-12 Schools. Dr. Shaughnessy is the director of indoor air quality research at the University of Tulsa. Well known for his pioneering research on indoor environmental quality, scientific methods and testing, he is one of the directors leading the ISSA/CIRI Clean Standard Research Program. The complete symposium program is attached.
