ALTON, IL — A recently-fired janitor at the Main Street United Methodist Church is facing burglary charges after he was allegedly found pillaging through employees'' desks one day after his termination, according to The Telegraph.
Victor Branch, who is in the custody of the Alton Police Department on $50,000 bond, is not being charged with the theft of any of the reported missing items, the story stated.
Items that went missing and are suspected to have been stolen by Branch include: Roughly $550 cash; a $1,120 Dell Latitude laptop; a Nikon digital camera; a set of keys; and checks for an upcoming golf tournament, the story noted.
