Carpet cleaner extracts profits from unique advertising
ORLANDO — The owner of Edwards Carpet Cleaning understands that it takes a dedicated individual to make a business successful, even if that means taking his efforts to the streets, according to WOFL-TV.
Sick of the inconsistent effectiveness of Yellow Pages advertisements, Billy Edwards has taken his advertising message to the corner of Saxon Boulevard and Finland every day for the last 10 months, the story stated.
With a smile and a sign, Edwards proudly promotes his business rain or shine, the story noted.
Edwards said: "A lot of my customers, they''ll tell me they see me out here so many days — all the time they see me, and they''re tired of seeing me out here; they want to give me a shot on their carpet. And, they find out I do really good work."
According to the article, Edwards, who is always on time and very polite, has competitive prices of roughly $20 per room, the story added.
