
§ The challenges have never been greater than we face today. We are in a serious recession and although things are looking a little better, we don’t know for sure when it will end.

§ The world has made tremendous progress on many fronts that have resulted in prosperity and a better life for everyone. Look back at history 50 to 100 years and you’ll see what I mean.
§ The country’s best days lie ahead.
