TORONTO — The
Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
Canada has announced several important updates to its
Pandemic Planning Program and website, according to a
press release.
According to the release, changes include refinements to the assumptions for service/supply interruptions with various key service providers, a new supplier questionnaire and a poster for buildings to display when service levels are impacted.
The Pandemic Planning Program — which launched last fall — was developed by the National Industry Pandemic Planning Task Force to help industry professionals manage building operations in the case of a pandemic, and has become an essential pandemic-preparedness tool for BOMA members, the release stated.
Ralph Dunham, senior vice president of risk consulting and business continuity practice at
Marsh Canada, and Randall Rothbart, partner at
Solmon Rothbart Goodman LLP, oversaw the updates to the Pandemic Planning Program, the release noted.
Cheryl Gray, co-author of the BOMA Canada
