Blogging on anti-fatigue matting is widespread

FREMONT, OH — The discussion of anti-fatigue matting systems has become widespread in the blogosphere, making its way into literally thousands of blogs across the Internet, according to a press release.
Google BlogSearch located 6,710 anti-fatigue mat–related blogs, mostly written by independent bloggers; Bing, the new search engine from Microsoft Corporation, found nearly 200,000 blogs discussing anti-fatigue mats, the release stated.
According to the release, anti-fatigue mats were developed about 40 years ago by Crown Mats and Matting and are designed to reduce stress on the feet and legs when standing for long periods.
Christopher Tricozzi, vice president of marketing for Crown Mats, said: "[What is unusual] is the fact that overwhelmingly, these blogs are very positive, if not glowing, in how anti-fatigue matting has proven valuable. When consumers talk about the value of a product, even if it''s a floor mat, it carries a lot of weight. These blogs have likely been a boon for consumers and our industry alike."
Blogging and other types of social media venues have proven to be an effective way for consumers, facility managers and cleaning professionals to learn about industry trends, including various matting systems, the release noted.
