WASHINGTON — In honor of the 40
th anniversary of
Earth Day,
greenroofs.com is holding a
"Love the Earth, Plant a Roof!" photo contest, according to a
press release.
To enter the contest, simply
submit a photo of any green roof around the world that graphically epitomizes its relationship to our planet — how it is a living example of loving the Earth, the release stated.
Contestants have 285 characters on the
fan voting page to explain their photo to people and let them know why they should vote for their particular project, the release noted.
Entries are now being accepted and voting will be open to everyone until April 21 at 5 p.m. EST; the winner will be announced on Earth Day: April 22, 2010, the release added.
