A $35K bird problem
HONOLULU — Hawaii is paying a $35,000 bill to rid state Capital buildings of its bird droppings problem, according to The Republic.
The state is planning to hire a contractor to install bird netting and clean windows, the article stated.
According to the article, the new netting will replace the current netting that is in place to keep birds from roosting on building ledges, but has deteriorated over the years.
Bird proofing the Capital buildings is expected to take about a month, the article noted.
