Restaurant reopens after norovirus outbreak
HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI — A restaurant that closed after roughly 300 people fell ill from a norovirus outbreak has reopened, according to WZZM-TV.
After the Ottawa County Department of Public Health received numerous reports of stomach illnesses, The Wild Chef Japanese Steakhouse voluntarily closed, the article stated.
According to the article, lab tests on Monday confirmed the presence of the norovirus.
The restaurant reopened after meeting health department requirements, including "disinfecting all equipment and surfaces, and providing training on food preparation practices, hand washing, glove use and reporting illnesses," the article noted.
