School board terminates custodian
EAST LIVERPOOL, OH — The LaCroft school board has terminated the employment of custodian Shawn Hill, citing several reasons, according to The Review.
The board passed a resolution outlining Hill's termination, which would be effective immediately, on the basis of "violation of written rules and regulations, dishonesty, insubordination, and/or other acts of misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance and the use of threatening language toward supervisory or management personnel or other board personnel," the article stated.
According to the article, the resolution specified that Hill had informed an employee that photos of another school district employee that he has or had in his possession "were going to be released by a person he knows and that he made the statement in a threatening manner."
Other specific grounds listed as reasons for termination included failure to follow prior directive regarding the treatment of co-employees; insubordinate behavior toward the director of buildings and grounds; and smoking on school grounds, the article noted.
